A Mac for distributed development teams

Cloud Macs for teams working across time zones

Start with where your team works, then choose where to run your Mac. MacUDP offers 5 locations across Asia-Pacific and North America, where teams can rent a dedicated physical Mac mini and access the macOS desktop in a browser.

Choosing a nearby location is a selection guide, not a latency guarantee. Browser access still requires a stable connection; check the console for current location availability.

Start with where your team works

Choose a location across Asia-Pacific or North America

A machine in one office can’t be close to everyone on a distributed team. We offer 5 locations: Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and the US West Coast. Narrow down your options based on where most users are, then factor in the type of work.

Coverage areas are a starting point for choosing a location; they don’t indicate dedicated network coverage or measured performance.
LocationBest suited for teams inWhat to check
SingaporeSoutheast AsiaAre the people using the remote desktop most often based in Southeast Asia?
Japan (Tokyo)Japan and East AsiaAre most team members who regularly use the graphical interface in Japan or nearby?
South Korea (Seoul)South Korea and Northeast AsiaWill most builds and desktop work be handled by team members in South Korea or nearby?
Hong KongSouth China, Hong Kong, Macau, and TaiwanDoes the connection from your local network to this location work well for interactive tasks?
US West CoastNorth America's West CoastWill North American team members handle most desktop work or regression testing?

For graphics-intensive work, prioritize a location close to the people operating the Mac. For builds, choose based on where most team members are. If your team spans Asia-Pacific and the US West Coast and members in both regions need frequent access, you can rent separate instances. To change locations, create a new instance in the target location and migrate your data; existing instances can’t be moved between locations with a single click.

A whole machine, dedicated to you

One complete Mac mini per customer

Throughout your rental, the entire physical machine is assigned to one customer. CPU and memory aren’t shared with other customers, and the machine isn’t split into virtual instances or oversold.

Dedicated resources

Choose from two configurations: M4 / 16GB / 256GB and M4 / 24GB / 512GB. These are the specs of a physical machine, not a share of a pooled resource. Plan for project concurrency based on memory, storage, and workload.

Use the desktop or command line

After signing in to the console, open the browser-based remote desktop from your instance list to use the macOS graphical interface. For scripts and command-line builds, use SSH. Keep your internet connection active while using the browser, and store access credentials securely.

Handing off across time zones doesn’t change the dedicated machine assignment. Coordinate desktop use and build tasks within your team to avoid simultaneous toolchain changes, deleted files, or interrupted processes.

Clear terms, before you order

Connectivity, uptime, and billing—spelled out upfront

For cross-region use, it’s important to know what you can verify. We distinguish reference information, service commitments, and actual transaction details rather than treating them as interchangeable.

Reference ranges aren’t performance guarantees

Location ranges are for guidance only; actual performance depends on your connection. We don’t invent figures where no reference round-trip range is available, or convert geographic distance directly into milliseconds. If you experience lag, check your location, local network, and running tasks.

99.9% uptime with service credits

Locations run 365 days a year, with a 99.9% uptime commitment—equivalent to about 43 minutes of downtime over 30 days. Downtime beyond that allowance is credited as service time on a proportional basis. To request a credit, submit a support ticket in the console with your instance ID and the downtime period.

Two payment options

We accept USDT-TRC20 and Visa / Mastercard / Amex (via Stripe). All charges are in US dollars (USD). Choose a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly billing period. Available payment gateways are confirmed by the backend; billing starts when payment succeeds.

Keep handoff notes in sync across time zones

People can take turns; task context shouldn’t get lost

The table shows the current local time at each location to help you plan handoffs. US West Coast time follows Los Angeles and changes with daylight saving time. These clocks are for coordination only; they don’t indicate location monitoring or support response times.

Local times update on this page. Use UTC in handoff notes and include the instance ID.

  1. Save your work before handing off

Commit your code and note the branch, commit ID, toolchain version, and any running builds. For unfinished tasks, include the log path so the next person doesn’t have to guess what’s happening from an empty desktop.

  2. Verify the instance when taking over

Check the instance ID, location, and UTC time in the handoff notes, then review processes and output. Closing a browser tab doesn’t stop a build, and don’t restart the machine without confirming first.

  3. Sync results across locations

If you have an instance in each location, hand off artifacts through your project repository and agreed file-transfer method. The machines don’t share files automatically; manage signing materials, dependencies, and environment settings separately.

No promises beyond what’s listed

Some requirements may not be a fit

If you depend on any of the following, check whether the service meets your needs before ordering.

No shared virtual instances

This service provides a dedicated physical Mac mini, not a shared virtual desktop pool. Splitting one machine into multiple independent virtual instances isn’t part of our offering.

No fabricated latency figures

Without tests from your location over your actual connection, we can’t claim a fixed latency or promise lag-free performance. Distance can help narrow your options, but it can’t replace real-world connection conditions or eliminate fluctuations in your local network.

Only the listed locations

Our current service covers these 5 locations. We won’t use unconfirmed deployment plans as a reason to buy. If you’re unsure where your team is based, share your main work locations and task types so we can help you weigh the available options.

For pre-sales questions or technical support, email support@macudp.com. For issues with an existing instance, sign in to the console and submit a support ticket with the location, time of the issue, and error details.

Choose who will use the Mac, then where to place it

If you know where your team is based, choose a location and order. If you’re still weighing up how to collaborate across regions, tell us where your team members are and what they’ll be working on.
